Dream

Dream

This is a fun card using Distress Inks.  You will nee water colour paper to do this technique.  We used blending foams 344691 or 360107 and tool 344689 or 360105 with Vintage Photo, Broken China and Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink distress ink for this project. We then misted with water using a mister 477919 and dried paper with a heat tool 278858.  After it is fully dried we stamped ferns down the side and the Stampendous Sentiment Stampendous stamps using Jet Black Archival Ink 121277. Voila!

Dance in the Rain

Dance in the Rain

Here is a classy and a bit spicy card.  This is a 5"x7" card.  The stamp "Rain Dance" is by Stampendous 196795 and is inked with Jet Black Archival Ink 121277 onto water colour paper.  We placed Vintage Photo Distress Ink 268119 on a craft mat 304843 and then misted the ink with water using our mister 477919.  Then we place the top of the card into the misted ink.  We dried the paper using  a heat tool 278858 (be sure to completely dry paper before next step).  Then with our blending tool 360105 and Vintage Photo Distress Ink we softly blended ink around edges slightly towards center of image.  We coloured her dress and shoes using Festive Berries Distress Marker 088322.  The sentiment is part of the stamp listed above.     The tiny black stars are from a punch that is no longer available.

Under the Weather

Under the Weather

This colourful 5"x7" card is sure to brighten anyone's day.  First layer a heavy weight piece of white cardstock a 1/4" smaller than adhered to base of card using foam dimensional tape 129020.  Then cut a piece of watercolour paper 6 1/2" x 3".  This is where the magic begins.  We used our Blending foam tool 360105 or 344689 and foams with Peacock Feathers 399378 and Salty Ocean 399383 Distress inks to colour the background then misted the paper with water using a fine mister 477919.  We then used a heat tool 278858 to dry the watercolour paper.  The Umbrella's are a Spellbinder's In'spire die we cut them out of heavy weight white cardstock then inked them using our blending tool and foam and Distress Inks in the colours of Mowed Lawn 399382, Mustard Seed 277414 and Picked Raspberry 399381.  After placing and gluing the umbrellas on card we used Glossy Accents 451944 to create realistic water drops.  Our Sentiment "Feeling under the Weather?" is by Whipper Snapper 526351and is stamped using Jet Black Archival Ink 121277
Tips & Tricks:  Allow glossy accent medium to air dry, please do not use a heat tool to try to speed up the drying process of the Glossy Accents they will bubble up and flatten.

Starry Season

Starry Season

This easy on the eyes card is a new fun layered look.  We distressed the edges with a Tim Holtz paper distressing tool then inked it with Coffee Archival Ink 1420640 and a Dauber to give it that old burnt edge look.  The bow is a die made by Cheery Lynn called Pretty Pretty Bows 299207. We have used this die quite often it comes with two sized bows which are very simple to put together.  We made our own tag simply by cutting the top corners of a rectangular piece of cardstock and embellished it with a square center and foliage from a punch by Martha Stewart called Branches.  We layered the Spellbinder Stars 354851 using patterned paper and Vellum, don't forget to ink the edges and adhere to card using Foam dimensional adhesives. Last but not least we used a Tag die from Spellbinders and stamped Season Greetings Sentiment using Versamark ,231200 and Detailed Gold Embossing Powder.359810
Tips & Tricks Be sure to use a detailed,  super fine or extra fine embossing powder when stamping any kind of sentiment or detailed image you will  notice a huge difference in the clarity of the stamped image.

Duck, Duck, Duck!

Duck, Duck, Duck!

If you like colouring you will enjoy doing this card.  I love this stamp by Stampendous Duckling Trio 519032.  We stamped this adorable stamp on watercolour paper with Jet Black Archival Ink 121277.  We inked the edges of the piece with Coffee Archival ink 120640 and a dauber 459434 to soften the look.  The Colouring was done with Prismacolor Premiere Colored Pencils Prisma, Odorless Solvent 384798 and Tortillions 456015.  This Coloring technique is affordable and very addictive.  We used the Cheerly Lynn Pretty Pretty Bows die by 299207 to embellish and a flower from the Spellbinder Jewel Flowers and Flourishes die set 253856 .  The small flower on top of the purple flower is a small punch and the butterflies are a small punch as well.  The Die that was used for the ducking image and the green layered background is no longer made by Spellbinders but any rectangular shaped die would work and there are lots to choose from.

Delightful Days

Delightful Days

Here is a fun simple technique that is clean, crisp and crafty!  The trick to doing this card is by placing the piece of water color paper in the center of the coloured background cardstock.  Stamp the image, we used the Delightful stamp by Penny Black 395403 using Coffee Archival Ink 120640.  You will find using the Fiskar Stamp Press 342535 very helpful to do any stamping especially larger stamps like this one.  The Stamp should cover the watercolour paper and the coloured cardstock background.  Colour the stamped image that is on the water colour paper using prismacolor premiere pencils Prisma . Try using pencils and odorless solvent 384798 to nicely blend colours, blend the colours with a Tortillion 456016.  Mount the coloured piece on to white cardstock cut a 1/4" larger and match and mount on top of the partially stamp background.  We used vellum on the bottom edge and stamped a Happy Birthday sentiment on it using Coffee Archival ink and Justrite Sentiment stamp set 251517.  We embellished flowers and top right corner with adhesive gems.  Make sure prior to adhering the pieces to ink the edges with a finger dauber 459434 and the Coffee Archival ink it softens the look and adds dimension.

Hoppy Thoughts

Hoppy Thoughts

Hoppy Thoughts has a fun layout that can be replicated in different themes.  Instead of frogs use butterflies or flowers, or for winter celebrations snowflakes or baubles.  Your options are limitless.  This card we used Spellbinder's Circle Dies 354806.  Be sure to ink the edges of these circles with a finger dauber 459434 and we used Coffee Archival ink 120640. The Frogs are a Poppy Stamp Die set called Pond Frogs.  You get four frogs in this set the fourth frog we placed on the inside of the card to embellish the sentiment.  All the frogs on the front of the card have dimensional foam adhesives 355603 under them to give them a more 3D look.  The leafy die cuts is a part of the Spellbinder's Foliage 472123 set.  This card is perfect as a masculine card or for anyone who loves frogs.  Hoppy trails!

Just Peachy

Just Peachy

I love this card it was so much fun to do.  This card is simple looking but full of fun techniques.  First we stamped a Stampendous stamp called Zinnia 057371 on Spectrum Noir Alcohol Marker Paper 245511 using Versamark 231200 and Detailed Black Embossing Powder and heat set using a heat gun 278858.  Then to Colour the Zinnia we used Chameleon Markers 175213.  We used precision paper scissors 143860 to cut out the Zinnia.  The Peach paper in the background is embossed using the Loren embossing folder CO723286.  The Leafy die cuts come from the Spellbinder's Foliage Die set 472123.  The Floral Paper in the background is actually stamped white cardstock using Penny Black Delightlful Stamp 395403 and Jet Black Archival Ink 121277.  Inside this card we used a Sentiment stamp by Whipper Snapper that says "It takes a long time to grow and old friend" 526359 which we thought suited this card perfectly.

Thinking Of You

Thinking of You

If you love sparkle then you are going to LOVE this product.  Bo Bunny Glitter paste is an amazing product that is easy to use and the glitter does not fall off your project.  You can use this product on paper, canvas, wood all sorts of mediums.  The best part is after it dries you can even scratch the glitter and it won't come off unlike other products that leave a mess of glitter everywhere!  This card is perfect example how this Glitter Paste can really make your card pop.  We blended Crushed Olive Distress Ink over a Penny Black Stencil and then offset the same stencil and used the Silver Bo Bunny Glitter paste 138897 to create this beautiful shadowed look.  Accented with Poppy Stamp Cherry Blossom Die and adhered them with foam dimensional adhesive to create a more 3D look.  The Thinking of You sentiment is from a Justrite stamp set 251517 and the ink used is Red Geranium Archival Ink.
Bo Bunny Glitter Paste comes in all sorts of colours.  They are an Opaque Paste with a mousse like weight and texture.  This product can be layered on top of one another without being able to see through each paste layer. Check them out on our website.
Glitter Pastes

Tips & Tricks
Do not try to speed up the drying time of the paste using a heat gun this paste must air dry for best effects.
We use a Pallet Knife to spread the paste over a stencil.  Remember when using a die cutting machine the negative portion after you have cut out the die can be used as a stencil.  I find using a heavy weight acetate or vellum very helpful for making my own stencils.

Haven't Seen You

Haven't Seen You...

This card is adorable, a perfect card to give to remind that special someone that you are missing them or are thinking of them.  We needed to use Spectrum Paper 245511 in order to colour the adorable stamp by Whipper Snapper called Deisel 520734.  We coloured him using Chameleon Markers 175213 which have been trending in the card making industry for the past couple years.  Chameleons are amazing alcohol based markers that have very little scent which I personally like since all markers self shades.  I used the Spellbinder Circle dies 354808 to cut out the magnify glass.  I used Versamark 231200 and Clear embossing powder on the cut out magnify glass portion to give it a shiny glass look.  If you don't have a heat gun you can get the same type of look using Glossy Accents 451944. To finish it off I raised it up with dimensional foam adhesives.  The Sentiment is another Whipper Snapper stamp 520708.  The Leafy die cut is from Spellbinder Foliage 472123 collection which I use quite often on my cards.  The embossing folder I used in the background to add texture is a polka dot 129501.
